We arranged for local flying legend Ivor Shattock to visit Talgarth and get a flight again, as we did last year…. Tony Crowden reports:
Ivor appeared late afternoon and we managed to give him a flight. Mike Stringer took him up in the K21. Mike said he could feel Ivor on the controls during the early part of the aerotow so he relaxed his grip on the controls and just let him get on with it! He was doing all the flying including the thermalling. The only time Mike took over was when it appeared that Ivor was aiming to fly back to Usk. His daughter in law Ann took a few photos with him in the glider. She said he loved the flight he had last year and still talks about it.
