From Abergavenny follow the signs for Crickhowell. One mile after Crickhowell turn right off the A40 at the Cider Mill Inn on to the A479, signposted Rhyader Approximately 6 miles after this junction you will reach Pengenffordd and pass the Castle pub on your right before reaching the brow of the hill. Trailers can turn right just after the brow of the hill. Cars should continue down the main road for about a quarter mile then turn right down a small lane signposted to "GLIDING". A short distance along the lane turn left at a T junction then 100 yds on turn right (both signposted). A mile further on you will see a final sign to the left at the entrance to the airfield. Please drive with care in the lanes as they are narrow. If you are coming from the west follow the signs to Talgarth. At Talgarth take the A479 up the hill towards Crickhowell, after approximately 2 miles you will see a signpost to "GLIDING" on your left directing you to turn left. Then follow the lane instructions given previously. Please note that there is no access up the minor road from Talgarth that passes the former hospital.
