Brief Outline

A competition running through the season that is suitable for all skill and experience levels

  • Fun, enjoyable flying is the name of the game
  • Register at the start of the season, or the first day you fly in the competition
  • Entry fee for each day flown of 3 payable on the day
  • Competition days called 3/4 days ahead when the weather looks good
  • Tasks set that will allow less experienced pilots to complete (therefore day may be under set for more experienced pilots, but you can always go round again and try to improve your time)
  • Take off will be at the pilots discretion, no grid
  • Pilots help each other out with mutual retrieves and general support all round
  • Task score will be completed using the BGA Calculator (giving glider handicap)
  • Calculator score has pilot experience calculator applied to it (see table below)
  • Day scores listed in position order
  • Position scores applied to the day score so there will be no large gaps between them
  • Only a percentage of scores will count towards the end of season overall score, so competitors will not have to fly every competition day (percentage of scoring days will be confirmed at the end of the season, depending on the number of days flown)
  • BBQ after flying (weather permitting) be prepared and bring the family
