The clubhouse

The clubhouse has toilets and showers. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, toaster, fridge and an oven and offers tea and coffee making facilities.

There is always a selection of cold drinks, snacks and confectionery for sale.

Tents and caravans are permitted on the airfield. There is a camping charge - see the charges page.

Accommodation and eating out

There is a wide range of bed & breakfast accommodation on farms or in pubs. Self catering houses or flats are also available and there are several hotels in the area.

We do not maintain a list of places to stay on this website, but recommend visitors to the excellent Talgarth Information & Resource Centre (01874 712226)

This community & tourist resource and information centre, in the heart of the Black Mountains, is staffed by volunteers and offers many services to residents and visitors.

They will be able to help you find suitable accommodation for your stay in Talgarth.

Usually bed and breakfast accommodation is available at short notice, but the Brecon Beacons National Park is a popular tourist area and so pre-booking of accommodation is advisable at certain times such as Easter nd school summer holidays. Other busy periods include the Hay Festival (first week in June), Mid Wales Show (usually in July) and the Brecon Jazz Festival (August).

There are shops and pubs in Talgarth and Bronllys, and a more comprehensive range of shops, pubs and restaurants in Brecon, Hay on Wye, Crickhowell and Abergavenny.
